<p>Eva Jeanette Noah Woods was born on October 10, 1931 in Lewiston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and five sisters. <p>Eva Jeanette Noah Woods was born on October 10, 1931 in Lewiston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and five sisters. She is survived by three brothers, Boyd, Bryce and Raymond and three sisters, Bertha, Joyce, and Phyllis. <br><br>Eva worked in the hospital in Orofino, Idaho with her Aunt Julia while she attended Orofino High School. She also played the trombone in the school band, sang in the school choir, worked on both the high school newspaper and year book staff, and was valedictorian her senior year of high school with a straight A grade point average. She met Edward Olin Woods in Orofino and they were married on September 2, 1951. She was the cook at the logging camp where Ed worked in the woods. Mark Edward was born in Lewiston, Idaho on September 29, 1952. The three moved to Nevada and California before moving back to Idaho. Laurie Lee was born in Lewiston, Idaho on September 30, 1954. The four lived in Idaho for some time before moving to Washington, where Eva worked in a lumber company office. The four eventually moved to California where Michael Jon was born in Eureka on October 1, 1957. The five lived in Westhaven, California until 1959 when Ed was injured in a logging accident and paralyzed from mid-hip down. Ed spent a year and 24 days in the hospital and rehabilitation center in San Francisco. While Ed was in San Francisco, Eva and her three children moved to Arcata where Eva worked in the office for Simpson Lumber Company. The four would go to San Francisco on weekends when they were able and visit Ed. When Ed was released from the rehab center, the five moved to McKinleyville where they bought a house on Bates Road. Ed passed away in 2001. Eva lived in McKinleyville until her death on January 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Eva was always involved and active in her church whether in McKinleyville, Eureka, or Arcata. She was an organist, pianist, occasionally played her accordion, and could play just about any instrument she was handed. She was a youth director, choir director, Sunday school director, secretary, treasurer, and teacher at various churches, as well as singing in many choirs. One year she played piano for churches in Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville every Sunday because she loved it and she felt she could serve the Lord best that way. Eva also sang in the Messiah Choir, Merry Melody Makers, the Trinidad and McKinleyville Community Choirs, and her church choir. She went to a ladies Bible study every Tuesday morning, another on Thursday night, and different individuals on other days and/or nights. She had a group of ladies she did crafts with, The Knit Wits, on Monday Nights. She gave of her time and money to groups too numerous to name. She was always there for family and friends as someone to listen, help, give advice, or anything someone needed. She made friends wherever she went and people loved to laugh and smile with her. She loved Humboldt County and never left it for long periods. She always said &ldquo;I live in the most beautiful place in the world. Why would I ever move?&rdquo; She did love to travel. She went with her grandson, Cory, and his wife, Jasmine, to Viet Nam, Thailand, and Canada as well as going with them, their three sons, Devon, Kyle, and Caleb along with her son, Mark, and daughter-in-law, Lorelei, in a motorhome to Missouri where they visited with Ed&rsquo;s oldest son (and Eva&rsquo;s son from the heart,) Larry, his wife, Susan, there son, Jeff, daughter-in-law, Gretchen, granddaughters McKenzie, and Meghan, Meghan&rsquo;s husband, Greg, and their twin daughters Addison and Isabella. Larry and Susan took Eva in there motorhome with the rest following in the other motorhome to Kentucky to see the Ark. They all had a wonderful time! Eva also went to Yellowstone and many other places with or without her children. She went to Hawaii with a group of ladies, to Mexico with her daughter, Laurie, Laurie&rsquo;s husband, Mike, and Mike&rsquo;s mother Dorothy for Mike and Laurie&rsquo;s youngest daughter, Brigit&rsquo;s wedding to Miguel. The four spent a week in Pachuca with Miguel&rsquo;s family, and then flew to Zihuatanejo on their way to Ixtapa for a week. She went to Alaska where her brother, Bryce lives and they explored! In 2006, Eva went with Laurie, Mark, Mike, Mike's wife Brenda, and their son Jon to Washington and Idaho to visit other family members. They first stopped in Spokane to visit Eva's sister, Joyce, her family, and Ed's brother, Les, and his wife Karen. Joyce's daughter, Jeri Lynn, and Laurie followed the van with the rest of the family to Orofino, Idaho where they all visited with Grandma Lenore Noah. From there they traveled to Kamiah, Idaho to visit with Ed's brother, Lyndell's widow, Doris. When they left Idaho, they traveled back to Clarkston, Washington and spent the night with Eva's brother, Ray, and his wife Betty. The next morning, they said goodbye to Jeri Lynn, and drove to Richland, Washington where they stayed with Ed's nephew, Bill, and visited with Bill's mother, Ed's sister, Alma, and her husband Glenn. Eva&rsquo;s family also had lots of family reunions, which she never missed. The reunions where in California, Washington, and Idaho until 2007, when her brother Raymond and his wife, Betty, opened their new home in Clarkston, Washington every other year until COVID. She loved her family and friends. She was a prayer warrior. She loved to learn and read. She loved to swim. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She worked in Eureka at Bistrin&rsquo;s as a bookkeeper, traveling auditor, and payroll clerk. She worked for many years at Ocean West Senior Mobile Home Park, first as the Office Manager and eventually Manager. She is survived by her children, Larry, Mark, Laurie, and Mike, grandchildren, Jeff, David, Cory, Loramae, Jay, Christy, Jerry, Brigit, Krystol, Dusty, Josh, and Jon, great-grandchildren, Megan, McKenzie, Devon, Kyle, Caleb, Michael, Marcus, Sandra, Brandon, Justin, Dallas, Marco, Maya, Chelsea, Taylor, Casey, and Makenzie, and great-great-grandchildren, Addison, Isabella, Grayson, Addison, Farrah, Scarlett, Rella, Julian, Owen, Dolly, Steven, Rachel, Ella, Aaron, Joseph, Casara, Carter, and Aubree.</p>
