A Dear Friend

On behalf of the family, I stand here today with a heart full of gratitude and grief as we remember Layla Jameson. Born in 1948 in a time that shaped a generation of hardworking, compassionate individuals, Layla lived every year with intention and love.

Layla was the kind of person who made the ordinary feel extraordinary. A walk, a meal, a simple conversation — all became something special when Layla was there. They brought humor in dark times, steadiness in moments of uncertainty, and unconditional love in all seasons of life.

We do not say goodbye today — we say thank you. Thank you, Layla Jameson, for every sacrifice, every word of encouragement, and every moment of love. Colorado Springs, CO will not be the same without you, but we carry your light with us wherever we go.

I will never forget the kindness and grace that Layla Jameson showed me during one of the hardest periods of my life. They had a gift for making you feel like the most important person in the room. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.
