There are people who enter our lives and leave footprints so deep they can never be erased. Scarlett Brooks was one of those people. A native of Oakland, CA, Scarlett lived a life of extraordinary purpose and quiet heroism — not through grand gestures, but through a thousand small acts of kindness that added up to something truly beautiful.

From 1951 to 2021, Scarlett touched more lives than they ever knew. They were the backbone of the family, the steady presence friends turned to, and a source of inspiration to all who crossed their path. Their laughter was contagious, their wisdom hard-earned, and their love unconditional.

As we lay Scarlett Brooks to rest, we do so with full hearts — grateful for every year, every memory, and every moment they were ours. Sleep well, Scarlett. You have earned it.

I will never forget the kindness and grace that Scarlett Brooks showed me during one of the hardest periods of my life. They had a gift for making you feel like the most important person in the room. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.
